The film was shot entirely between 12.01am and 11.59pm on Thursday, June 26th 2008. Each filmmaker delivered a five minute short film to director Lenny Abrahamson, who curated the film and remixed the edit in time to screen the finished film as the closing event of the festival three days later.

Daniel O’Hara’s short documentary ‘Birth to Earth’ acknowledges those for whom the date is most significant – those who were born and who died on 26th June 2008 – by opening a window to the world of the professionals who deal with these life and death events on a daily basis: a midwife and an embalmer.

Dublin 26.06.08′ can be watched online at www.4daymovie.com

Also the Irish Times published an article by Rosita Boland, who spent time with O’Hara on the shoot.
